Poetry Thursday -- a real poem!

by Langston Hughes

mom's tree

Hold onto dreams
For if dreams die
Life is like a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.

inspired by another blogger's post about hope ... thinking about all of this, trying to reconcile.

  1. An exceptionally beautiful photo, and just right for the poem.
