Some days are easier than others among the 12 year olds ... and today was not one of those.

Trying hard to channel compassion ... when I refer to them as 12, it is to denote the youth, but it also marks their maturity level. Misunderstood, mercurial, quick to anger and bore, lacking in the confidence to know when they aren't being challenged -- so jump to conclusions and pounce before thinking ... and so much more. You remember being 12. It was horrible.

So... the need for compassion. And to remember that I am not 12.
